Heather Brown has nearly 20 years experience in marketing and communications. She has managed marketing and communications programs for esteemed hotel brands including Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, The Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay, Montage Hotels & Resorts, Hotel Del Coronado, Woodside Hotels, Indian Springs Resort + Spa Calistoga, Wente Vineyards, Pasadena Convention & Visitors Bureau, and many more. Prior to starting her consulting practice, she spent ten years with Montage Hotels & Resorts where she led the marketing launch of the new ultra-luxury hotel brand. From its inception to the opening of the company’s three hotels in Laguna Beach, Beverly Hills and Park City, UT, Heather has helped frame the brand and market the resorts, spas, residences, restaurants and boutiques to a premiere demographic. As director of brand marketing for Montage Hotels & Resorts, she handled all aspects of brand development and marketing including managing the online and social media strategies, branding, printed collateral and visual graphic standards, customer relationship management initiatives, new customer acquisition strategies, brand partnerships, and more. During her tenure, Heather created programs that have been emulated across the hospitality industry and helped elevate Montage to become one of the nation’s most respected luxury brands.
Prior to joining Montage, Heather was director of public relations and marketing communications at The Argent Hotel in San Francisco. In her role, she launched the reflagging and repositioning of the property in the San Francisco marketplace through a significant public relations and online marketing program. She managed a series of marketing and community relations programs to drive leisure, group and catering business.
Heather began her hospitality marketing and public relations career at the Westin St. Francis in San Francisco as public relations manager. Her responsibilities included all facets of media relations, advertising and marketing communications for the historic hotel and spa.
Before joining the St. Francis, Heather worked at The Montgomery Group, a San Francisco-based, full-service public relations and marketing firm with a focus on agriculture, financial and medical services.
Heather specializes in brand development and strategic public relations and marketing programs in the golf, travel/tourism, spa, restaurant, and luxury consumer good industries. Her experience includes website development/management, collateral/brochure development, direct mail, advertising, special events, media relations/placement, sponsorship programs/partnerships and community relations.
Heather has a Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism and communications from the University of Oregon.
Jeannie has more than 20 years of experience in the advertising and marketing communications worlds, where she’s applied her award-winning writing and creative skills to building brands across all mediums. She began her career as a copywriter in the fast-paced retail arena before translating her passion for travel and culture into writing for luxury real estate, resort and hospitality projects around the globe. Whether she’s celebrating the legacy of a company or envisioning the future of a community, Jeannie believes in the power of compelling storytelling that strikes an emotional chord with her target audience.
Jeannie has established the brand narratives for some of the world’s most successful destinations, including Four Seasons Resort Hualalai, Punta Mita and Peninsula Papagayo as well as Montage Laguna Beach, Beverly Hills and Deer Valley. Other key clients include Amanresorts, Auberge Resorts, the Irvine Company, Ritz-Carlton Hotels & Resorts, St. Regis Hotels & Resorts and the Westfield Group.
Jeannie has won a Webby, an Addy, WS Awards and several Golds from The Nationals—National Sales & Marketing Awards. She has a Bachelor of Journalism degree in advertising from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln.
Melineh is a strategic, diversely-experienced senior designer and art director with an eye for innovation and graphic perfection. Melineh most recently worked as art director for Montage Laguna Beach. Prior to that, she was a senior designer at Las Vegas’s most prestigious advertising agency – SK+G Advertising, where she worked with a variety of luxury casinos, hotels, and restaurants. Melineh specializes in graphic design for luxury clients including Montage Hotels & Resorts, House of Blues, Hotel del Coronado, Indian Springs Calistoga and the Michael Jordan Gold Tournament. A vast skill set enables her to work with a variety of diverse brands and businesses with an expertise in brand identity, print and digital design, UI, web design and art direction.
Max has over 15 years experience in award-winning graphic and web design. His original creative eye brings a novel and fresh approach to the luxury market. Max has both agency and freelance experience and has worked with clients such as Bodega Bay Lodge, Napa Valley Lodge, Woodside Hotels, Bernardus Lodge & Spa, Nizuc Resort & Spa, Half Moon Bay Golf Links, Wente Vineyards, Mountain Lodge, Pasadena Convention and Visitor Bureau, and many more. Max handles all aspects of web design including logo development, branding, brochures, collateral, advertising, and in-house operating printed supplies.
Nancy has over 30 years of experience in advertising and marketing, with extensive expertise in media planning and buying. She believes advertising is just one component of a successful marketing program — and as the industry has evolved over the last decade, her commitment to innovation has helped clients get the most out of their budgets. Her approach and partnerships create opportunities beyond the actual ad buy, adding value through social media mentions, promotional giveaways, editorial placements and more. Nancy has worked with admired companies such as The Ritz-Carlton, Hard Rock Hotels & Resorts, Coors, Red Bull, Destination Hotels & Resorts and Barceló Hotels & Resorts, among others.
Rita has 25 years experience in the printing industry, she handles all client print production needs including brochures, business cards, banners, trade show booths and various other collateral. She is the queen of details as well as service culture and allows Brown Marketing & Communications clients to reap the benefits of quality print production at an incredible price. Rita helps our clients understand the quality and price differences between various production methods and works tirelessly to ensure everything is produced to our client’s complete satisfaction.
